Posted by Katie Andrew in Career development on August 20, 2011
Every employee desires to achieve great success in their career and yet only few are able to achieve what they wish for. The main reason why employees fail in achieving their career goals is because of their job profile.
A correct job profile is extremely necessary for any employee to achieve success, as this would give the necessary motivation and the confidence to carry on. People who love their job are always keen to learn new things and they never hesitate to do innovating things. This innovation drive comes because of their motivation level and job satisfaction.
In order to get a job as per one’s own likings, one must contact only reputed recruitment agencies which offer quality recruitment services after carefully analyzing the strengths and weakness of the candidate.
Selecting a proper recruitment agency is very important and a crucial step as a wrong agency would try to put the candidate in any profile without proper analysis. Reputed agency would not only place the candidate in their desired job profile but also counsel them on important issues and motivate them for overcoming their shortfalls.
Professional agencies would also guide the candidate on other important issues like interview skills, resume services and many more. These extra services differentiate a quality recruitment agency from an ordinary one.
Recruitment process is not an easy thing to do. Analyzing the candidate, requires detail knowledge on human behavior and how they would adapt in the corporate environment. Such analysis can only be done at reputed recruitment agencies which have the necessary resources and man power to carry out such analysis.

Today it is very common to obtain qualifications on online courses. Kaplan Open Learning is affiliated by the University of Essex and provides Higher Education Certificates, Foundation Degrees and BA hons Degrees.
Their fees are very reasonable and the price includes all the relevant textbooks. For a Higher Education Certificates course it is £280 per module or £2,240 for the entire course. In fact each module on any of the courses is £280, but the price goes up in relevance to the amount of points the course is worth.
For the Foundation degree you are looking at £4.480 and the degree is £2,730. These courses may seem a lot of money, but once you work out the amount of knowledge and skills you will obtain, it is a very good deal.
If funding is an issue then Kaplan has a list of options that might assist you in your investigation into funding. There are grants and awards you can apply for, ELCAS funding , Educational Grants Advisory Service(EGAS) and Employer funding.
There are also ways you can obtain a discount. You can lower the cost of your chosen course by what other qualifications you may already have. You can also receive a discount if you pay in advance for your course. If you pay upfront for your degree or pay by level then you are protected against future increases for that period.
This works out as a £200 discount off the Foundation degree and £100 discount of the top level fee paid in full prior to the commencement date. Every little helps as they say, so do consider these discount options.
